Hale 'Oluea Clubhouse

The Hale 'Oluea Clubhouse is a peer driven program, assisting people with severe and persistent mental illness, in their journey to independence.  Our members  build on their strengths and capabilities, step by step, journeying from isolation and dependence to self-reliance and productivity.

Clubhouse Philosophy

The Hale 'Oluea Clubhouse is a voluntary program with a lifetime membership policy.  The Clubhouse is operated by its members and staff to enhance self-worth and self-sufficiency.  Clubhouse participants are called members rather than clients.  This empowers members to take an active role in their program and to remove the social stigma attached to mental illness.

Members and staff at the Hale 'Oluea Clubhouse work side-by-side to ensure that member needs, interests and motivations are utilized when developing rehabilitation plans and vocational activities.  We believe that a successful program is one where both members and staff have equal influence.
